De naam Organix is een knipoog naar het Engelse woord voor biologisch, Organic.
Organix ontstond in 1992 vanuit de passie van één vrouw: de Engelse Lizzie Vann. Haar missie: beter eten voor kinderen. Wat begon met één persoon, groeide uit tot een groep enthousiaste medewerkers. Nog elke dag geloven wij in beter. Kleine kinderen hebben recht op gezond eten, omdat dat de basis legt voor een goede gezondheid. Daarom maken wij alleen puur, natuurlijk, biologisch én lekker eten. Zodat er écht iets te kiezen valt!
In het Engels worden de woorden Goodies en Baddies gebruikt voor respectievelijk goede en slechte dingen. Wij gebruiken de naam ‘Goodies’ voor onze tussendoortjes, omdat er geen slechte dingen in zitten en omdat we ons richten op kinderen. Omdat de producten speciaal ontwikkeld zijn voor kinderen is dit op een speelse manier gedaan en gebruiken we ‘goodies’ en niet ‘good’.
Op dit moment is Organix Goodies breed verkrijgbaar bij C1000, Jumbo, Super de Boer, Plus, Deen, Hoogvliet en in de grotere Albert Heijn supermarkten. Middelgrote en kleine Albert Heijn supermarkten hebben een beperkt assortiment.
Met onze No Junk Promise beloven we dat onze voeding veilig, puur en voedzaam is.
- in onze voeding zo min mogelijk chemische bestrijdingsmiddelen zitten. Onze eigen norm is de strengste in de markt en gaat veel verder dan de wettelijke norm.
- we absoluut geen gebruik maken van onnodige toevoegingen.
- we ons houden aan hele. strikte eigen normen voor vet, suiker en zout.
Daarom onze belofte: No Junk.
Om goede oogsten te kunnen krijgen, gebruiken onze boeren geen chemische bestrijdingsmiddelen maar onze boeren mogen wel gebruik maken van biologische bestrijdingsmiddelen zoals sluipwespen, kwartszand (afweermiddel), natriumbicarbonaat (fungicide). In Europese wetgeving is vastgelegd welke bestrijdingsmiddelen gebruikt mogen worden in de biologische landbouw.
Onze eigen normen voor vet, suiker en zout:
- Geen geharde vetten
- Verzadigd vet: maximaal 5g/100g product
- Geen suiker toegevoegd
- Geen zout toegevoegd
Alle producten kunnen ongeopend op een koele droge plaats bewaard worden (bijvoorbeeld in een voorraadkast). Om ze na openen het lekkerst te houden, stop je ze in een goed sluitende (koek)trommel.
De producten kunnen na openen zo lang bewaard worden tot je ze bijvoorbeeld niet meer knapperig genoeg of lekker genoeg vindt. De producten bederven niet na openen.
Op onze verpakking staat altijd duidelijk aangegeven bij het kopje ‘Belangrijk’ welke allergenen aanwezig zijn. Zoals koemelkeiwit en lactose in de kaasknabbels.
